Two universities in Utah have well-developed research parks. The 320-acre park adjacent to the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City is approximately three-fourths developed, with 40 private tenants and 36 university departments. Also at the park is a 200-room hotel, conference center and restaurant complex.

Utah State University's Research and Technology Park has been expanded to 37 acres near the Logan campus, plus 265 acres of research preserve near Millville, Utah. At the sites, some 22 private tenants and six university affiliates and government entities are housed in 10 privately-developed buildings.
